    SNYDER— The South Plains College Texans fell to Western Texas College 98-90 on Thursday night in Snyder. The Texans' Jerron Love set a new career high with 26 points, as the 5-foot-11 freshman was 9-of-15 from the field and 6-of-9 from behind the arc. Deontae North went on to finish the contest with 18 points and five rebounds for South Plains, while Che Bob had 14 points and 11 boards.

    CLARENDON— The South Plains College Texans rode Che Bob's 32-point, 15-rebound performance to a 98-67 victory over the Clarendon Bulldogs on Thursday night at the Bulldog Gymnasium. The Texans' Deontae North finished the game with 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting and also hauled in 11 rebounds. Roberto Gallinat would chip in 17 points for South Plains, while Montell McRae had eight.

Now 7-1 in their last eight conference games, the Texans' victory breaks a three-way tie with New Mexico (18-8,8-4) for first place in the WJCAC, with South Plains (18-7, 9-3) and Odessa College both sitting at nine wins with just four games remaining in the regular season.

    LEVELLAND— The South Plains College Texans picked up their third consecutive Western Junior College Athletic Conference victory after throttling Clarendon College 99-67 Monday night at the Texan Dome. Following a 10-0 run from the Bulldogs (13-9, 1-5) to open up the contest, the Texans battled back and went on a 9-4 run of their own to cut Clarendon's lead to 14-9 with 15:24 left in the first half. Justice Green, who finished with 19 points and went 6-for-11 from the floor, tied the game at 17 all after connecting on a 3-pointer from the right wing with 11 minutes on the scoreboard.

    BIG SPRING— The South Plains College Texans improved to 4-2 in the WJCAC conference with a 74-71 road win against Howard on Thursday night in Big Spring. Jerron Love led the Texans in scoring for the second straight game as the 5-foot-10 freshman guard finished with 19 points and three assists in 31 minutes of play for the Texans. Deontae North shot 50 percent from the three-point line and knocked down all six free-throws attempted en route to a 15-point performance for South Plains.

    Levelland— The South Plains College Texans fell to New Mexico Junior College 73-70 Saturday afternoon at the Texan Dome in Levelland. The Texans held the Thunderbirds to 26 percent shooting in the first half and took a 34-23 into the locker room at halftime, but a late surge from New Mexico (13-5, 3-1) in the final frame allowed them to escape with a three-point conference win.

Baltimore City knocked down consecutive threes while drawing a foul on each attempt and connected on the free throws for back-to-back four-point plays to trim the Texans' lead to just two points.

The Texan's Che Bob led all scorers with 22 points and nine rebounds, knocking down eight of thirteen shots from the floor. Deontae North finished with 16 points and six boards for South Plains, while Diamante Langston racked up 11 points four rebounds and three assists.

    Borger— The South Plains college Texans picked up their sixth consecutive win on Saturday downing Frank Phillips 81-79 in overtime. The Texans shot 56% from the field against the Plainsmen and had four players score in double figures. Sophomore guard Deontae North led the Texas in scoring once again with 14 points and also hauled in six rebounds.

    Levelland— The South Plains College Texans rode Deontae North's 30-point performance en route to an 89-63 drumming of Midland in the conference opener Wednesday night at the Texan Dome. The Texans shot 50% from the field against the Chaparrals while placing three players in double figures. Che Bob finished with a double-double for the Texans, scoring 18 while hauling in 11 rebounds and two blocks.
  • Texans Sweep Thanksgiving Classic

    Plano— The South Plains College Texans extended their win streak to four games after picking up two more wins this weekend at the Thanksgiving Classic in Plano. SPC routed Collin county Community College on November 27 69-51 thanks to an 18-point performance from sophomore guard Deontae North, who also had eight assists and three rebounds.

    Levelland—The South Plains College Texans picked up their second win in as many days, shooting over 65% from the field en route to a 105-53 scraping of Wayland Baptist Saturday at the Texan Dome. South Plains' Ibrahima Diagne led all scorers with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Deontae North had 12 points for the Texans. Montell McRae and Jerron Love each scored 11 points for SPC, while Taelin Webb had nine points and four assists.

    Levelland— The South Plains College Texans downed Collin County 81-68 Friday night at the Texan Dome behind Deontae North's 18 points. SPC had four players in double figures, including Roberto Gallinat who finished with 13 points and five rebounds, while Diamante Langston had 13 points and four assists. Michael Wolfe racked up 11 points and six board for the Texans, while Justice Green and Taelin Webb each had six.
