In cool and wet conditions, Antibahs Kibiwott navigated the 8,000-meter course in 24 minutes, 26.15 seconds for a third place overall finish, leading a group of four Texans finishing inside the top 20.

Kelvin Keter joined Kibiwott in the top 10 in seventh place and was followed by Jose Martinez and Colton Hollis in 16th and 20th.  Hassan Abdi was the Texans fifth and final scoring runner in 24th place.

The Texans finished just 23 points behind NCAA Division I and host Texas Tech with 54 points.

Victoria Salvadores led the Lady Texans with a 37th place finish.  Kassidi Jones and Lyndi Hanson followed in 45th and 48th, while J'Cee Holmes and Kaitlyn Henderson rounded out the team scoring in 57th and 65th.

The SPC cross country teams will enjoy a weekend away from competition before traveling to Las Vegas, N.M. where they will compete in a meet hosted by New Mexico Highlands Saturday, Sept. 27.
