Canadian, TX - The South Plains College Rodeo Team turned in a strong performance this past weekend at the Frank Phillips College Rodeo in Canadian, Texas, highlighted by Trey Adams capturing the Champion Heeler title. 

Adams also advanced to the short found with a 2nd-place finish in Team Roping, while teammates Colt Call and Cactus Barnes secured 8th place in Team Roping, Zaran Kirkpatrick qualified 8th in Goat Tying and Kassidy Roertson advanced 5th in Breakaway Roping. 

South Plains athletes carried that momentum into the short round, with notable finishes including: 

• Kassidy Robertson - 4th in Breakaway Roping 
• Zaran Kirkpatrick - 7th in Goat Tying 
• Cactus Barnes & Colt Call - 6th in Team Roping 

The South Plains College Rodeo Team will return to action October 23-25 at the New Mexcio Junior College Rodeo in Lovington, NM.
