Lady Texans Set To Face NMJC

The South Plains College Lady Texans remain alive and well in the discussion for a regional birth after picking up wins against Frank Phillips and Odessa College last week.

Elizabeth Cera set a new school record with 12 3-pointers against Frank Phillips, and was the leading scorer with 14 points against the Lady Wranglers on Thursday night. South Plains currently sits in fourth place in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference with a 17-9 record on the year, and a 5-5 record in conference play.

The Lady Texans will now travel to Hobbs, New Mexico tonight for a matchup with the New Mexico Junior College Lady Thunderbirds, who are currently ranked No. 9 in the nation and hoist a perfect 9-0 conference record. Following Monday night's game, the Lady Texans will be back in action on February 15 on Breast Cancer Awareness night at the Texan Dome when they host Howard College beginning at 5:45 p.m.
