
South Plains Lady Texans are sitting outside the top four that encompass the teams that will compete in the NJCAA Region Five Tournament.
Teammates Courtney Randle and Tanae Ramos both hit double digits in points, as well. Randle put down 11 points while Ramos added her 10 points to South Plains' victory.
The game was a battle back and forth with scoring, playing point for point for most of the game. Ended the half 24-19 the Lady Texans take the lead.
With 30 seconds left in game the Lady Texans were tied with the Lady Hawks 51-51. Assisted by Johnesha Major, Ramos sinks a two point shot in from the paint to knock the Lady Texans ahead. Not allowing Howard enough time to tie the game.
Lady Texans defeated Howard College back in January with a 37-28 win on their home turf in the Dorothy Garrett Coliseum.
The Lady Texans will try to keep their game win going when they head to New Mexico Monday, Feb. 9. New Mexico Junior College currently sits in the first seat in the WJCAC with a 22-1, 9-0 record play.
