
Clarendon pulled ahead into the first half of the game putting South Plains down by six, afterTaylor Osborn put in two on the free-throw line.
Setting up the Lady Texans the opportunity to exceed when Tanae Ramos put in two and the Lady Bulldogs could not make it up on their end. South Plains trailed by four before Courtney Randle pulls up for a three pointer with a minute to play, to put a point difference between the teams.
Finishing the half with a tie, after Randle makes a shot on the line for 26-26.
Second half beings with the Lady Texans ready to go, Shazay Norris put in two points and then a three- point shot in by Randle to slide South Plains into the lead, and maintaining it to the end.
Randle was leaving her mark on the game leading the team with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Close behind with 16 points and 15 rebounds was Norris, who took a block shot assisted byParis Townsend, that put the Lady Texans ahead by 20, with four minutes to go.
Lady Texans will be continuing conference play next Thurs., Feb. 19, on the road at Frank Phillips College. Both teams sit five-and-six in the WJCAC and are tied for the fourth seat for the Region V Tournament in March. The game will be streamed live at 5:45 p.m on spctexans.com and live on KLVT.com.
