The Lady Texans came out ready to play in the first quarter, shooting aggressively and taking the lead early in the first half. Frank Phillips looked like they may catch up, closing in on the Lady Texans with six minutes to play.

South Plains increased the distance between the Lady Plainsmen and themselves, finishing the first half in the lead, 34-20. With the Lady Texans higher shooting percentage at about 73 percent in the first half, a rise from previous games. 

Keeping the momentum the Lady Texans showed no mercy in the climbing of points on the scoreboard. In addition to Randle's 15 points teammates Markeyla Hicks added 13 points along with Regina Scott's 10 points.

Having a win underneath them the Lady Texans will be on the road Thurs. Jan. 22 to Midland College (9-3). Tip off is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. and will be streamed live atwww.spctexans.com, along with the game on air on 1230 AM and www.klvtradio.com.
