Lady Texans wrap up their season in Odessa

Starting with a nine point lead early in the game the Lady Texans pushed the ball down the court, taking control of the game, resulting in South Plains leading by two points heading into half-time.

When returning to the court for the second half of play the Lady Wranglers of Odessa made a two-point shot soon after the clock started, and from that shot Odessa took the lead from South Plains and the Lady Texans could not overcome the difference the Lady Wranglers had created.

Sophomore, Courtney Randle, finish her basketball career at South Plains by leading the Lady Texans in scoring with 19 points and 7 rebounds in the loss against Odessa. Randle averaged 13.43 points and 6.75 rebounds during her final season at South Plains. Another Lady Texan scored in double digits over Odessa, freshman Victoria Lopez scored 13 points.

Along with Randle, Johnesha Major and Blevie Lucchesi are two more sophomores that finished their careers at South Plains, Thursday night in Odessa. Major suffered an injury in a game at New Mexico JC Feb. 19, but averaged 5.52 points and 3.39 rebounds per game.  Lucchesi finished her sophomore career with an average of 2.56 points and 2.93 rebounds per game.
