Split games for South Plains College in Clarendon

Emmanuel Omogbo led the Texans with 20 points and 10 rebounds, contributing to the 83-54 win. Andre Horne added 14 points of his own, along with Brandon Neel's 10 points, Pat Birt's eight points, accompanied by Andre Spight's and Diamante Langston's additional seven points a piece.

South Plains took the lead early in the game, shooting into half ahead by 20 points. The made baskets carried over to the second half, with the Texan's shooting near 53 percent for the game.

The Lady Texans were close Monday night, ending the game 62-59. Courtney Randle led the team with 22 points and 12 rebounds, along with Markeyla Hicks' 15 points.

The game stayed close throughout the halves with the score being at a tie 11 times. Leading into the second half the Lady Bulldogs led 31-25.

Putting South Plains College Lady Texans along with Clarendon College Lady Bulldogs in 2-2 records in the WJCAC.

The Lady Texans will pick back up with conference play at 5:45pm, Monday Jan. 19 in the Texan Dome against Frank Phillips College (14-3, 2-2) along with the Texans to play Frank Phillips at 7:45pm.

Thursday, Jan. 15 in the Texan Dome the Texans will be having an additional game at 6:30pm against New Mexico Military Academy.
