Think Pink Night raises $1,100 for Covenant Hospital of Levelland
LEVELLAND – During last month's Lady Texan 'Think Pink' Night versus New Mexico JC on Monday, Feb. 11, the SPC department of athletics raffled off an iPad4 with Retina Display in an attempt to raise money for breast cancer awareness.

The 'Think Pink' raffle produced $1,100 that was presented to Covenant Hospital of Levelland in a presentation on March 28, 2013.

The money Covenant of Levelland receives from the Think Pink promotional helps provide funding that gives women more access to the care they need, such as mammograms that help detect breast cancer.

A mammogram is a low dose, non-invasive x-ray used to examine and search for breast tissue irregularities.  The American Cancer Society recommends a screening mammogram every one to two years for women, beginning at age 40.  This is important due to the fact the successful treatment is often linked to early detection.
