Coach Michelle Wyatt's Lady Texans (14-6, 4-2) are riding a five game winning streak and find themselves sitting in a five-way tie atop the conference standings along with Howard, Midland, New Mexico, and Odessa. A victory over the Lady Hawks (18-5, 4-2), who got the better of the Lady Texans in the January 10th conference opener, would help solidify the Lady Texans as one of the top teams in the WJCAC.
The Texans (14-8, 3-4) enter Thursday's game against the defending NJCAA champion Hawks (15-6, 5-2) in fifth place in the conference standings. The Texans will look to avenge a 73-63 loss to Howard on January 10th, a game that was much closer than the final score would indicate.
