After defeating Frank Phillips College 71-63 Monday night, the Lady Texans are taking a break from conference action and are only ½ game out of first place in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) with a 3-2 record. Midland, Howard, and New Mexico Junior College all stand with 3-1 records and will be in action on Thursday, giving the SPC women an opportunity to advance in the standings.

The Texans (13-7, 2-3) are coming off a disappointing 84-80 defeat at the hands of the Frank Phillips College Plainsmen and will look to even their WJCAC record when they face the Broncos (8-11, 0-5)
