Coleman nets 25 as Texans pummel Adams State JV 100-45 Saturday

ROSWELL — The South Plains College men's basketball team wrapped up its final game before the Christmas break Saturday, winning their ninth consecutive contest, pummeling Adams State JV 100-45 at Cahoon Armory on the campus of New Mexico Military Institute.

South Plains improves to 10-1 on the year and will be back on the floor when they travel to Phoenix, Arizona for the 2022 Fiesta Bowl Junior College Shootout Dec. 27-29 on the campus of Mesa Community College. South Plains' Christian Coleman led all scorers Saturday, netting 25 points, his 11th consecutive game scoring in double figures. Elijah Tate poured in 21 points, knocking down five 3s for South Plains, while freshman Bryson Ogletree chipped in 11 points.
