Texans extend win streak to seven games, pummel Hill College 68-50 Saturday in Plano

PLANO — The South Plains College men's basketball team extended its win streak to seven games Saturday, taking down Hill College 68-50 at Cougar Gymnasium on the campus of Collin County Community College.

South Plains improves to 8-1 on the season and will be back on the road Dec. 2-3 for a two-game stint in Roswell on the campus of New Mexico Military Institute.

Jalen McDonald led all scorers with 19 points and three rebounds, connecting on eight of 11 shots from the floor over 30 minutes for South Plains. Ismail Habib finished with 12 points and three rebounds for the Texans, while Christian Coleman netted 10 points over 24 minutes. The Texans shot a 48 percent clip from the floor and knocked down four 3s in the contest.
