LEVELLAND, Texas - The NJCAA No. 22 ranked South Plains College Texans look to improve their record to 4-0 when they face the University of the Southwest junior varsity squad tonight at 6:30 p.m at the Texan Dome.
Through three games SPC has six players averaging in double figures, led by sophomore transfer Brandon Thompson at 16.7 points per contest and nearly six assists. Kenny Brown, who recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in Sunday's victory of Northern Oklahoma College - Enid and 18 points and eight boards against the Redlands is averaging 12.7 points thus far.
Greg Gainey has provided a spark coming off the bench as the Texans third leading scorer with 12.3 points per game, while playing 25.5 minutes.
