Dustin Wimmer

Texan Dome Supervisor

Dustin Wimmer is a Kinesiology Instructor and Campus Sports leader at South Plains College, where he has been serving since Fall 2015. Originally from Muenster, Texas, Dustin earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas Tech University in 2010, followed by a master’s degree in Sports Management from Texas Tech in 2012.

He began his professional career at the University of Vermont in 2012–2013, later working with the City of Lubbock from 2013–2015 before joining the SPC family. In addition to his teaching role, Dustin has been actively involved in athletics at SPC, keeping statistics for the Texan and Lady Texan basketball teams since 2018.

Dustin is passionate about the family-like environment at South Plains College, where he enjoys building relationships with students and collaborating with departments across campus. He is engaged to Megan Chambers, and the two will be married in May 2026.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dustin values community, teamwork, and fostering growth in the next generation of students and athletes.
