TIM JAMES - INDUCTED 1997 - TRACK & FIELD

When it came to reaching new heights in life, Tim James truly soared at South Plains College. The Levelland native was a four-time national champion in the pole vault as a Texan, setting the all-time junior college record in the event with a jump of 17-9 in April 1991.

From 1992–1994, James was a three-time All-Southwest Conference selection and claimed the SWC pole vault title both indoors and outdoors as a senior in 1994.
