
LEVELLAND — The South Plains College men's and women's rodeo teams will return to the arena in Lubbock as they saddle up for the 76th annual Texas Tech College Rodeo at Cook's Garage, slated for October 24-26.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $25 per day, and Friday's ticket includes a Blackhawk Concert pass, and kids 12 and under are free. The Thursday performance is slated for 7:30 p.m., while the Friday and Saturday night performances will begin at 6:30 p.m.

South Plains' Nathan Clawson comes into the weekend ranked fifth in the Southwest Region in calf roping, totaling 140 points on the year. Brey Yore is currently seventh in steer wrestling in the region standings with 110 points. Jace Joos is also ranked in the top 10 in the region in steer wrestling, holding the 10th spot with 100 points.
Clayton Beshirs is currently eighth in the region in team roping (header) with 100 points, while John Hisel is seventh in team roping (heeler) with 105 points. Channing Wescott sits in eighth place in the region standings in breakaway roping with 95 points, while Kallie Montalvo is 12th in the region in goat tying with 55 points.
