South Plains College Rodeo set for College National Finals Rodeo June 11-17

LEVELLAND — The South Plains College rodeo program is set to compete on the highest stage of collegiate rodeo when they take to the arena June 11-17 at the College National Finals Rodeo at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming.

The Lady Texans qualified for the CNFR at a second place team finish in the southwest region, closing out the year with 1,470 after winning the women's team title at the Tarleton State Stamped on April 23.

South Plains totaled 270 points in Stephenville, led by Amarillo native Emery Mask who won the women's all-around title with 235 points. Mask capped the year with 795 points to also win the women's all-around title as the top point-getter in the Southwest Region.

The Texans will also be represented in Wyoming as Penrose, Colorado native Logan Kenline won the steer wrestling region title for South Plains, posting a region-best 685 points.

Mask, Madison Bean, and Kallie Montalvo will compete for the Lady Texans, as they look to bring home the program's first national title.
