Following a stellar one-year stint in Levelland which ended in the Texans capturing the 2018 NJCAA men's basketball national title, former SPC sharpshooter Deshawn Corprew will look to help the Texas Tech men's basketball team bring home their first championship in program history as they make their first ever Final Four appearance this weekend.

Following a 75-69 Elite Eight victory over top-seeded Gonzaga, Texas Tech looks to take down another perennial power in No. 2 Michigan State at 7:49 p.m. on Saturday from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A 6-5 redshirt sophomore for the Red Raiders, Corprew was a part of the Texans' 2018 national championship team under head coach Steve Green. During his time in Levelland, Corprew averaged 12.1 points and 5.3 rebounds for South Plains, scoring a career-high 27 points on Jan. 18, 2018 against Western Texas, and netted 21 points in the national title game in which the Texans defeated Southern Idaho 98-95.

Wearing No. 3 for the red and black, Corprew has seen significant action this season, scoring in double figures seven times including a career-high 13 points against UTRGV on Dec. 28.

Should the Red Raiders get by the Spartans, they will take on the winner of Auburn and Virginia who are slated for a 5:09 p.m. tip on Saturday. The NCAA men's basketball national championship game will tip off at 9 p.m. on Monday.
