Andy Reyes begins his second year as the head athletic trainer for the South Plains College Athletic Department.  A native of Andrews, Texas, Reyes’ comes to Levelland after spending the previous four years as the head athletic trainer for Monterey high school in Lubbock. While at Monterey, Reyes' primary responsibilities included direct care of Plainsmen and Lady Plainsmen student-athletes, supervision of student athletic trainers, as well as management and administration of the athletic training room. Prior to being hired at Monterey, Reyes was the assistant athletic trainer at Brewer High School in Fort Worth, Texas.

While completing his Master’s degree (2014) at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Reyes worked for Lubbock Sports Medicine where he was an outreach athletic trainer. Reyes has also worked for the Texas Tech Track & Field team and was a part of the 2014 Texas Tech Baseball College World Series team as a graduate assistant. During the summers of 2010 and 2011, Reyes served as an intern for the Dallas Cowboys. He is a 2011 graduate of Texas Tech University, and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association.
