Silva pours in 18, No. 13 Lady Texans top Trinidad State 76-51

THATCHER, AZ — Jennifer Silva scored a game-high 18 points as the South Plains College women's basketball team topped Trinidad State College 76-51 at the Gila Monster Shootout on the campus of Eastern Arizona College.

South Plains will close out the road trip on Saturday when they square off with Eastern Arizona at 7 p.m. MST. The contest will stream live at spctexans.com.

Silva connected on nine of 13 shots from the floor over 22 minutes, while Bella Belong netted 12 points and eight boards coming off the bench for South Plains. Shcira Fowles finished with eight points, four rebounds, and four assists as the Lady Texans shot 45.8 percent from the field.

Following the weekend, South Plains will be back on the road next weekend when they travel to Midland for the Midland College Classic Nov. 16-18 for a three-game stint.
