DENISON — The fourth-ranked South Plains College women's basketball team fell to Grayson College 67-55 Friday in their first of two games at the Grayson College Classic.

The Lady Texans will be back on the floor on Saturday as they look to take down No. 1 ranked Trinity Valley at 3 p.m. The contest will stream live at spctexans.com.

Celia Sumbane led South Plains with 19 points, while Matilda Soderlund netted 11 for the Lady Texans. Jennifer Silva and Martyna Czeescik each finished with six points, while Vitoria Carvalho and Daiysha Brown each totaled four points.
