Dawn, who was held to only four points during her team's 68-62 loss to the Lady Plainsmen on Jan. 20, scored a game high 22 points and dished out six assists to pace the Lady Texans.

Moore had another all-around game with 19 points, eight rebounds and eight assists while Brainard scored 18.  Fataar chipped in with 12.

As a team, the Lady Texans shot efficiently, making 30-of-54 (.556) attempts.

The Lady Texans jumped all over Frank Phillips in the opening minutes, building a 20-5 lead at the 12-minute mark. 

Frank Phillips looked as if they might make a game of it, closing to within two with a 13-0 scoring run over the next five minutes. 

Fataar converted a drive in the paint, Dawn knocked down a couple free throws, Moore finished a three-point play and Brainard took a steal the length of the court to score nine straight points and the Lady Texans would go on to hold an 11-point advantage at halftime, 39-28.

Frank Phillips would not get back to within single digits until late in the second half and would never make a serious threat to the Lady Texans for the rest of the contest.

South Plains (15-10, 9-3 WJCAC) remains in third place in the WJCAC standings and can still move into second by winning their final two games against Midland and Odessa.
