Four Lady Texans Receive Post-Season Accolades

SPC Lady Texans Taniqua Ards and Chasity Workman were named to the Western Junior College Athletic Conference All-Conference team for 2008-2009.  Ards was also named to the Region V Women's team.

Ards, a graduate of Lubbock Estacado, led the Lady Texans and the WJCAC in scoring, averaging 15.2 points-per-game, while starting every game for South Plains.  Workman was a rebounding machine for the Lady Texans, averaging 9.6 for the season (31 games) and 11.1 in WJCAC action, while also starting every game.

Sophomore wing Rachel Gray and freshman guard Sajoyia Griffin were named to the Honorable Mention All-Conference team for their performances.  Gray averaged just under 33-minutes of playing time per game for the season and scored 7.6 points-per-game, while Griffin scored an average of 13.1 points-per-game.
