Lady Texans Defeat Scottsdale 71-61

The South Plains College Lady Texans were victorious in their first game on the hardwood since December 6, defeating Scottsdale College 71-61.  The victory improves the Lady Texans record to 14-2 overall.
South Plains was led by Dayon Hall-Jones, who scored 20 points, including 10-of-12 from the charity stripe.  Lubbock Estacado graduate Taniqua Ards added 16 points and led the team with eight rebounds.  Sajoyia Griffin scored 10 points, while Tasheena Byrd added nine points and five assists. 
Also for SPC, Samiesha Williams scored six points, Rachel Gray and Chasity Workman added four points each, and McKinsie East tallied two.
The Lady Texans are back in action tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. (MST) when they face South Mountain.
