LEVELLAND – The South Plains College rodeo program capped the season at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming, competing on the highest level of collegiate rodeo and ended the year as one of the top programs in the country.
LEVELLAND — The South Plains College rodeo program is set to compete on the highest stage of collegiate rodeo when they take to the arena June 11-17 at the College National Finals Rodeo at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming.
STEPHENVILLE — The South Plains College women’s rodeo team will represent SPC at the highest level of collegiate rodeo after winning the women’s team title at the Tarleton State Stampede Saturday to qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo.
The Lady Texans closed out the year with 1,470 points to finish second in the final team standings in the Southwest Region, trailing only Tarleton State, who tallied 2,074 points on the year. The top two teams from each region qualify for the CNFR, which is slated for June 11-17 in Casper, Wyoming.
BIG SPRING — Emery Mask won the women’s all-around title as the South Plains College women’s rodeo team moved into second place in the Southwest region standings with a second place team finish Saturday at the Howard College Rodeo.
The Lady Texans tallied 230 points over the weekend, giving SPC 1,202 points on the season, a 92 point lead over Cisco, who is third in the region with 1,110 points. Tarleton State is first in the region in the women’s team standings with 1,849 points. The top two teams in the region qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo in June in Casper, Wyoming.
The South Plains College men's and women's rodeo teams will take to the arena for the first time in 2023 when they travel to Portales for the Eastern New Mexico University Rodeo Sept. 14-16.
SWEETWATER — Madison Neal and Emery Mask combined for 280 points as the South Plains College women’s rodeo team won the women’s team title Saturday at the Ranger College Rodeo at the Nolan County Coliseum.
ODESSA — The South Plains College men’s and women’s rodeo teams qualified nine athletes for Saturday night’s finals of the Odessa College Rodeo, with SPC notching a pair of top-five team finishes at the Ector County Coliseum.

LUBBOCK — Brey Yore captured the men’s all-around title and Madison Bean snagged the women’s all-around crown Saturday as the South Plains College men’s and women’s rodeo teams each placed second in the final team standings at the Texas Tech University Rodeo.
VERNON — The South Plains College men’s and women’s rodeo teams notched a pair of top 10 team finishes over the weekend, competing in their fourth rodeo of the fall semester at the Vernon College Rodeo.
LEVELLAND — Notching a pair of top 10 finishes over the weekend for the South Plains College men’s rodeo team, Brey Yore was tabbed the Men’s All-Around Champion of the Vernon College Rodeo.
CLARENDON — The South Plains College men’s and women’s rodeo teams wrapped up their third rodeo of the fall semester over the weekend, competing at the Clarendon College Rodeo.

ALPINE — The South Plains College men’s and women’s rodeo teams qualified six for the finals of the Sul Ross State University Rodeo over the weekend in their second of five rodeos this fall.
PORTALES — Logan Kenline won the steer wrestling event title as the South Plains College men’s and women’s rodeo teams placed third and fifth respectively in their first rodeo of the season over the weekend at the Eastern New Mexico University Rodeo.
