Cam Parker brings a wealth of basketball experience to South Plains College Men's Basketball, following his notable journey in the sport. He made a significant impact during his tenure at Northwest Florida College, where he helped guide the Raiders to the National Championship runner-up title in the 23-24 season. Their remarkable campaign also culminated in a 29-8 overall record, securing both the Panhandle Conference title and the Division I FCSAA/NJCAA South Atlantic District Men's Basketball Tournament championship.

Before his time at NWF, Parker dedicated five years as an Assistant Coach at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. In 2019, his coaching prowess contributed to the Grizzlies achieving a commendable 2nd-place finish in the KJCCC East with a 15-5 record, along with a runner-up position in the Region VI Tournament.

Parker's basketball journey began as a player at Butler in 2014-15, where he walked on to the Grizzlies' team under the guidance of former head coach Mike Bargen. During this season, the team soared to impressive heights with a 29-4 record, initiating the year with a remarkable 23-game winning streak and reaching as high as No. 4 in the NJCAA poll. They clinched the Jayhawk West Conference championship and secured a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament. After his time at Butler, Parker continued his academic journey at Wichita State University, pursuing a Bachelor of General Studies degree.
