Reggie Chambers brings a wealth of basketball experience to the game, with a remarkable journey that has spanned both collegiate and professional arenas.

During his collegiate career, coach Chambers made a significant impact at two prestigious institutions, Florida Gulf Coast University, and West Virginia Wesleyan. From 2008 to 2010, he showcased his talent at Florida Gulf Coast, where his prowess on the court earned him a spot on the all-freshman team. By the time he left, Coach Chambers had solidified his legacy, ranking 4th all-time in assists at the university.

At West Virginia Wesleyan, Coach Chambers continued to shine, leading his team to consecutive NCAA tournament appearances. His leadership culminated in the school's first-ever national tournament victory and an impressive 22-9 overall his senior year.

After concluding his college career, Coach Chambers took his skills to the international stage, playing two years of professional basketball in Uruguay and the Dominican Republic.

Prior to joining South Plains, Coach Chambers honed his coaching acumen at various levels of the game. He served as an assistant coach at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, contributing to the team's historic 2023 MACCC State Championship victory, ending a 25-year drought. Coach Chambers also played a pivotal role as an assistant men's coach at Southwest Mississippi Community College and as a graduate assistant at NCAA Division I institutions, Liberty University, and Arkansas State University, as well as NCAA Division II's Delta State University.

His coaching journey further includes stints as an assistant men's coach at Barry University (NCAA Division II), where the team earned the coveted Sunshine State Conference championship in 2017, and Central Wyoming College (NJCAA). Coach Chambers's multifaceted expertise encompasses recruiting, scouting, basketball operations, and player development.

In addition to his coaching career, Coach Chambers has been a dedicated camp counselor at various basketball camps across the country, imparting his knowledge and passion for the game. Notable camps include Dixie State Team Camp, Matt Harping Basketball Camp, University of Utah Basketball Camp, Five Star Basketball Camp, and Delta State's Basketball Camp.

Off the court, Coach Chambers finds the greatest support in his family. He is happily married to the former Alisha Rayborn, and they are proud parents to their daughter, Aria.

With his extensive background and commitment to the sport, Coach Chambers is poised to continue making a positive impact on the world of basketball. His dedication to player development and his passion for the game are evident in every facet of his career.
