Texans ready for showdown with Northwest Kansas Tech on Tuesday

The fifth-ranked South Plains College Texans will tipoff with the Northwest Kansas Tech Mavericks on Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Texan Dome in a clash between two undefeated programs.

South Plains comes into Tuesday's contest sporting a 3-0 record and are averaging 110.3 points per game. The Texans last victory came on Nov. 6 against third-ranked Trinity Valley, which saw the Texans throttle the Cardinals in a 110-74 shellacking in Lewisville, TX.

The Texans' Roberto Gallinat enters Tuesday with an 18.7 points per game average, earning NJCAA Player of the Week honors after scoring 20 points in the Texans win over Trinity Valley. Sophomore Jordan Brangers is shooting 45 percent from the perimeter after three games while averaging 13.3 points per game.

Grantham Gillard is shooting 61.5 percent from the field this season averaging 15.7 points per game, while Justice Green holds a 46.2 shooting percentage from the 3-point line and a 12.7 points per game average.

NW Kansas Tech enters Tuesday's showdown fresh of a 73-64 win over Lamar Community College on Nov. 12. The Mavericks come into Levelland averaging 94.5 points per game, led by sophomore Eddie Reese who is shooting 57 percent from the field and boasts a 19.5 points per game average.

Freshman William Lybaek is also averaging 19.5ppg, shooting 64.7 percent this season, while Osa Wilson and Tim Graham enter Tuesday each averaging over 10ppg.
