SPC basketball teams wrap up three-game road trip tonight at Howard

LEVELLAND – The South Plains College Texan and Lady Texan basketball teams will play their third straight contest on the road when they travel to Big Spring to face Howard College in a women's/men's doubleheader tonight.  The women's game tips off at 5 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m.

The games were moved up from their original times due to inclement weather. 

The fifth-ranked Texans enter the contest with a 20-3 record overall, 7-2 in the WJCAC, and are looking to snap a two-game skid against the No. 24-ranked Hawks.  

Tonight's men's contest will also be a battle for the conference lead as the Texans have fallen into a three-way tie with Odessa (19-3, 7-2) and Howard (19-4, 7-2). 

The Lady Texans (12-9, 6-2) enter Thursday's contest on a three-game winning streak and find themselves only a game behind Odessa (17-5, 7-1) and New Mexico (16-5, 7-1) for the league lead.
