Second Half Rout Leads to Texan Victory over Carl Albert State College

PLANO, Texas - After returning from the locker room with a four-point lead, 29-25, the Texans exploded to 50 second half points to rout the Vikings of Carl Albert State College 79-53. The victory moves South Plains to 6-4 on the season with one game remaining on the fall schedule.

Malcolm Miller, a freshman guard from Midland, led the charge scoring 21 points. Stanton Kidd and Greg Gainey contributed with double figures as they added 15 and 14 points, respectively.

The Texans are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, December 4th when they face Coastal Bend College. The 1 p.m. matchup will be the final test of 2010 for the Texans as they will not have another game until they travel to Arizona on January 3rd.
