Texan Skid Hits Three with Loss to Grayson College

DENISON, Texas - Sophomore Brandon Thompson scored a team high 14 points and freshman Malcolm Miller added 12, but that was not enough as the Texan basketball squad dropped their third game in a row, a 53-50 overtime loss to Grayson County College.

With the score tied 8-8 midway through the first half, the Texans were able to make a slight surge and take a 21-15 halftime lead.

The two teams battled throughout the second half and with 2 minutes and 30 seconds remaining the Texans trailed by two points, 39-37.

With nine seconds remaining in the game and Grayson leading by two, South Plains had a chance to take the lead when Greg Gainey made a field goal and was fouled in the process.
