Ingram Inks to Play Basketball for UT-Arlington
SPC sophomore forward Bo Ingram signed a letter of intent recently to continue his basketball and studies at the University of Texas-Arlington beginning in the fall of 2010.

Ingram, a native of Kinston, North Carolina, said he has thoroughly enjoyed his time on the South Plains and that he has appreciated the time and effort Coach Green and his staff has put into developing him as a player.

He said his most vivid memory while playing for the Texans has to be a game against Western Texas College played on February 11, 2010. The Texans trailed by as many as 21 points in the first half and Ingram said SPC head coach Steve Green was livid when the team went to the locker room at halftime. Before Ingram could finish his story, Green chimed in and asked, "So how did that game turn out anyway?"

Ingram responded with a smile, "We won."

Ingram started 28-of-29 games for the Texans during the 2009-10 season and will look to help fill the void of departing senior and leading scorer Marquez Haynes.

UTA head coach Scott Cross looks forward to Ingram's arrival to campus, calling him an outstanding player who will bring a great deal versatility and have the ability to contribute immediately.

Also recently signing letter of intents were Brandon Pitts and Antwain Thomas, who will both be attending Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma.

Thomas played in 30 games for the Texans during the 2008-09 season and averaged nearly six points per contest. This season, Thomas was averaging almost seven points-per-game before being sidelined due to an injury.

Pitts began the season as the starting point guard, but had a case of bad luck in the fall that forced him to the bench for the remainder of the year.
