Texans Defeat Western Texas 70-50
LEVELLAND, Texas - Sophomore forward Bo Ingram made 5-of-8 shots, including a perfect 4-of-4 from downtown, to score 14 first half points to help the South Plains College Texans jump all over the Westerners of Western Texas College early and eventually hold on for a 20 point victory, 70-50. Ingram finished the game with 20 points.

South Plains College (11-6, 1-2 WJCAC) led by as many as 16 points in the first half before settling for an 11 point halftime lead, 34-23.

In the opening minute of the first half Western Texas' Will Harrison sank a couple of free throws after being fouled by Myles Walker to bring the Westerners within nine points. That was the last time SPC would lead by fewer than 10 points for the remainder of the game and would lead by as many as 22 points before the buzzer ended the game with SPC winning their first conference game of the season, 70-50.

The Texans will play next on Thursday, January 21 when they travel to Odessa to face the Wranglers (17-2, 2-1 WJCAC) who dropped a close game to Frank Phillips College, 67-65 tonight in Borger. The Texans and Wranglers are scheduled for a 7:45 p.m. tip and the game can be heard live on KLVT 1230 AM or www.hprnetwork.com.
