South Plains track and field grabs six event titles in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO — The South Plains College men's and women's track and field teams posted six event titles Saturday at the Angelo State David Noble Relays at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field.

Top Marks:

Men's 400 meters: Gregory Prince went 46.93 to take the top spot. Stefan Camejo and Mouatez Kikiou placed third and fourth in the event in times of 46.99 and 47.59.

Men's 5000 meters: Divan Du Plooy won the event with a time of 14:35.32, while Nedjm Bensahnoun was fourth in 16:05.90.

Men's 110 hurdles: Isaiah Patrick clocked the top time in 13.78, while Khailan Vitalis was third in 14.01, and Dishaun Lamb went 14.12 to take fourth.

Men's Discus: Shamar Reid turned in the top mark with a throw of 193' 11". Reid also placed second in the shot put with a mark of 56' 3.75".

Men's 100 meters: Tajae Francis placed third for South Plains with a time of 10.51.

Men's Pole Vault: Django Segovia cleared 16' 6.75", good enough for third, while Joshua Sexton was sixth with a mark of 14' 1.25".

Men's long jump: Isaiah Patrick went 23' 2.75" to take fifth, while Mouhameth Fall was sixth with a mark of 23' 0.5".

Men's Decathlon: Harry Crosby took second on the weekend, posting 7073 points.

Women's 100 meters: Ruth Agadama was first for the Lady Texans in 11.72, while Sydney Roquebrun took fourth with a time of 12.06.

Women's 800 meters: Rushana Dwyer posted the top time in 2:21.25, while Lilliana Guerrero was second in 2:13.08.

Women's 400 meter hurdles: Leticia Quingostas went 1:02.59, good enough for second.

Women's 4x100 relay: Ruth Agadama, Hinds, Quingostas, and Clarke put down a 46.34 to take second. Agadama also placed second in the long jump with a mark of 19' 6.75".

Up next: South Plains will return to the track on April 20th at the West Texas A&M Invitational, followed by a trip to Lubbock April 26-27 at Texas Tech.
